England Day 3: Totnes and Town

Hello all,

Today was rather a mellow one, as I had a bit of delayed jetlag and slept in till 10:30. After a bit of shopping in downtown Paignton and lunch (cheese sandwiches, salad cream (!!!) with salad, and a Weight Watchers yogurt (seem to be the grandparents' favourite)), we ventured into the cutest of retro South Devon towns, Totnes. The main street of the town is set on a treacherous slope, lined with stone-walled shops and apartments. All the shops are handmade and/or vintage, which make for some really unique buys. Didn't have much time to look in all the shops, but hope to go back when my mum and brother arrive for some Devon cream tea and some proper shopping.
The main stretch of town on a steep slope.

A pretty cathedral halfway up the climb.

Flower crowns! The market was closing, hope to catch it next time.

Windy paths and hills in the distance. :)

Later this evening, I met up with my long lost best friend Ashleigh. We wandered through downtown Torquay and scouted out pubs and clubs for next weekend. So weird being legal!

All in all, a pretty quiet day. Grandma's birthday is tomorrow, so hopefully the day will be family-filled with plenty of pretty strolls and flake ice creams.

Love always
Coral
